Concealed Connections creates a link between humans and nature and is a passage through space. The structure of the pavilion is tall and open to receive a vast amount of sunlight and provide a breathtaking view of the lake in the distance. The bridge extends over brambly bushes connecting two spaces and creating a hovering experience with a continuous view of the lake. One of the gateways to the bridge is a discovery hidden almost entirely by greenery. This part of the pavilion is partially underground to create a sense of being in the bushes and encompassed by nature. Concealed Connections has several extended planes. The vertical planes are extended to make space for staircases, and the horizontal plane expansions bring additional space to the pavilion for movement. The repetition of slots and windows in the planes produce fields of light and shadow. The arches and wooden beams over the bridge echo each other and create a rhythm.
