INTERMISSION CABIN

TYPOLOGY: Minimal Home, 2500 C.F.

OCCUPANTS: Visually Impaired Man

DESCRIPTION: The Intermission Cabin is designed as a vacation home for a visually impaired man. The design addresses his desires and interests, and creates a comfortable and safe get-away home in the woods. The walls are curved, and a hand railing is used to help guide the resident through his house. The different textures on the hand railing help to indicate which space he is entering and exiting. There is a large, comfortable back deck for gardening and spending time outdoors.
